The Barn Door hosts banquets every weekend, and the transformation these rooms undergo is remarkable: from country eclectic to a stylish sea of white linens, gauzy ribbons, and candles. The memorabilia on the walls remains, serving as novel conversation pieces.
Brides can use the banquet rooms at the Barn Door independently or in combination. Our History Room is an excellent setting for medium-sized parties: it's one of the original rooms from the building, with an addition built on. Windows run the length of one wall, allowing natural light to pour through the room. Our new room, the Crownhill room will be completed in the early summer, 2004 and will accommodate up to 80 guests. Skylights and a cozy fireplace add warmth and charm to the Crownhill Room.
The North 40, the largest room at the Barn Door, can accommodate 150 guests. The room was once a private club in the period of San Antonio's history when you paid membership fees to get a hard drink. Wall-to-wall red carpeting lends the room an air of the valentine, which is countered by ranch and horse racing accessories. One wall shimmers with stained glass windows that maintain privacy from the adjacent bar.
For smaller parties, the Fireplace Room offers cozy surroundings with an oversized fireplace and pocket door slides. The room also boasts trophies and racing silks behind glass.
